Andy Carlisle

Andy was born in Portland and grew up in Tigard. In high school, Andy was on the swim and water polo teams, and achieved state level competition. He joined TTSC his junior year, and reached the regional championships. Andy carried his participation in swimming and water polo to Portland State University where he graduated in 1981. He began coaching at Wilson High School followed by a year at Aloha. He served as Assistant Coach for TTSC from 1983 to 1987, when he became Head Coach. In 2002, Andy was awarded the Oregon Swimming/James J. Richardson Award. This award is given each year to a person who has been an outstanding long -term contributor to the sport of aquatics in Oregon Swimming. For 2002/2003 Andy is the Chair of the Time Standards Committee for Oregon Swimming, Inc. Andy also works as a swimming instructor for the Tigard/Tualatin School District and Head Coach for the Tigard High School swim team.
